Orthopedic Services

Specialized orthopedic therapy can help your beloved pet live a better life.

At West Brant Animal Hospital, we perform different types of surgeries and rehabilitation treatments to help pets with broken and fractured bones, as well as other orthopedic conditions. If you see that your pet is not moving easily, or is moving differently than they have before, it may be time to schedule an appointment with our team, so that we can properly diagnose and treat their potential orthopedic problem.

Below are some key symptoms that you should watch out for, specifically for conditions related to your pet’s orthopedic health. If you see them displaying any of these symptoms, it’s best to contact our team immediately.

  • Difficulty getting up and lying down
  • Reduced range of motion
  • Reluctance to go up stairs, run or jump
  • Decreased range of motion
  • Stiffness

What kinds of treatments are available for orthopedic problems in pets?

Once your pet has been diagnosed, their veterinarian may recommend and prescribe certain therapies such as oral/topical medications (for reduction of pain and inflammation), physical rehabilitation, surgery and exercises that you can help your pet do at home to reduce their symptoms.
